13. The Long Game

Reversing picky eating is a journey, with ups and downs. Your child may take a few steps forward, and then, after a stressful change, fall back to needing more support at mealtimes. This is all normal and to be expected. You’ve made tremendous changes that will take time to become second nature and will need continued work. But just like everything in parenting, helping your child feel comfortable around a wide variety of food, empowering them with the skills to explore a world of foods and flavors, and enjoying mealtime together more often than not, is long game parenting.
